Welcome to Eastford!!!
The Eastford Democratic Town Committee invites all registered Democrats who reside in Eastford to join us as we foster a strong Democratic presence in Eastford’s community life, committees, civic organizations and administrative offices.
The committee includes ten registered Democrats who are responsible for promoting Democratic candidates for public offices. Monthly meetings are open to all Eastford Democrats and are held on the second Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. by Zoom. All registered Eastford Democrats are welcome!
Our responsibilities include endorsing candidates for local municipal offices including Eastford’s Board of Selectmen, Board of Education, Treasurer, Tax Collector, Town Clerk, Board of Assessment Appeal, Library Board, Constables, and Registrar of Voters. If you are interested in holding any of these offices, please be sure to contact us.
The Eastford Democratic Town Committee elects delegates for Democratic state conventions including conventions to nominate the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, U.S. Senate and Congress, State Senator and State Representative, and Judge of Probate.
The Committee holds periodic fundraisers to support our work. We sponsor an environmental lecture program around Earth Day. We also donate to creditable local causes.
We have fun, too, and periodically hold Meet and Greet events where all local Democrats are invited to come and socialize with us and to meet local officials and candidates.
